This SureCall booster supports 4G and 5G devices.

SureCall signal boosters are 5G compatible, which means they support both 4G and 5G devices. All SureCall's current vehicle and home boosters amplify any modulation (4G, 5G) that operates on the five most common up and down cellular frequencies bands. This makes SureCall current signal boosters compatible with 5G devices as carriers begin to transmit 5G signals over the existing frequency bands and towers.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • How far from unit can I be to make and receive calls being boosted

Based on the strength of outside cellular signal, your cell devices such as cell phones, tablets, mobile hotspots, can be up to 5 feet away from interior antenna (not the signal amplifier unit).

The base unit or cellular amplifier box can be placed anywhere because it has no impact since it simply "amplifies" the reception - It does not broadcast the wireless signals. "Internal antenna" broadcasts signal inside vehicle.

  • Hello, I am looking to use this device while traveling in both USA and Canada, will it work? Thank you

Yes, absolutely - It will work.

  • It is working great but only when my phone is very close to slim low profile antenna inside the car. Is that normal?

It is supposed to boost signal of all cell devices within up to 4 to 5 ft. radius from interior antenna. Therefore, please ensure cable connectors are tightly closed and the coaxial cable is not damaged. Please make sure outside antenna cable is inserted in signal amplifier port that says "Outside" and inside antenna cable is inserted in signal amplifier port that says "Inside". If signal is very weak outside, then the reception improvement may be reduced considerably and your device will have to be very close to antenna to improve its connectivity. Try using in other areas to check whether it consistently requires device to be very close to antenna, or only in few extremely weak signal areas? Outside antenna catches signal from far away but if it cannot catch much signal or catches no signal, the cellular amplifier won't have much to amplify and consequently result in the problem you experienced. Fortunately, it is usually one of the problems listed above related to proper installation or in very few dead zone places with no cell towers for over 50 miles all around.

  • How may cell"s can be connected at a time?

Five to ten cellular devices can experience signal boost simultaneously. These can be smartphones, tablets, mobile hotspots, etc.

  • Looking for an in-vehicle booster for my van. I have a Sprint phone, on 4G. I looked while at home the other day, I was on band 25, which the Fusion2go supports. But today in driving around, I see both band 41 and 45 at times, which aren not listed as being supported. Will this unit work?

Bands 41 and 45 are not supported on any signal boosters in the market, including the Fusion-2-Go.  Band 45 and Band 41 are not very common bands. Especially Band 45 is rarely used so we're surprised you even noticed its existence. Therefore, it will work to boost reception most times, but may not do so (rarely), during other times. We think a booster should be helpful in most cases anyway because it will tend to have your phone pull signal from towers transmitting covered bands when non-covered band signal is weak. Thank you.

  • Can this be used in a house?

Legally, yes, it is allowed for use within house because it offers Gain up to +50 dB which is within FCC allowed threshold inside homes.

Technically, yes, it is possible to use in the house if you can get outside antenna placed outside using exterior antenna cable length of only 10 ft. and interior antenna cable length of only 9 feet.

Convenience-wise it is challenging because your cell devices requiring signal boost will need to be in the range of interior slim low profile antenna within up to 5 feet radius max (depending on strength of outside signal).

If you think limited technical and limited convenience disadvantages are worth it considering its lower cost, please know if you're not aware that there're more powerful home signal boosters that cost the same or slightly more - here are 2 examples:

    $199.97 - SureCall Flare DB+ for up to 3,000 sq. ft. (up to +72dB Gain for 4G LTE Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T only on bands 12 & 13).
$299.99 - SureCall Fusion 4 Home for up to 2,000 sq. ft. (up to +72dB Gain for 3G + 4G + LTE - all carriers).

We hope this helps your decision whichever you choose to make, for whichever purpose you have, that you know best meets your needs.

  • I want to know if SureCall is coming out with a 5G model so I don't have to buy another booster next year.

Sorry, consumer grade true 5G boosters won't be something that will be available for a while, but our current cell signal boosters will work with 5G capable phones, just not for the 5G parts of it. Although our current boosters do not support the 5G network, they will still be usable once the 5G network is released. Due to 5G's limited range, 4G will not become obsolete, giving customers the ability to continue to receive a boosted 4G signal well into 2030.

  • On the Fusion2Go 2.0 I noticed a small cover that came loose. Inside were 4 jumpers. Being a retired engineer, my curiosity got the best of me. What are they for? It's working great, would just like to know the functions of the jumpers. Thanks.

The Graphical User Interface (GUI) part of the unit is for programming purposes. The jumpers are for board use.

  • What does it mean when 3 lights are green constant and 2 lights (LTE A& V) are green but blinking green?

When lights are solid green, it means signal booster is fuctioning at its peak. Blinking green indicates that it is fuctioning at its peaks with support from Automatic Gain Control (AGC) feature that adjusts the Gain as needed to prevent getting overpowered by excessive signal from outside. Here is link that explains this in more detail as well as what other color LED lights that may appear, indicate: https://www.signalbooster.com/blogs/news/meanings-of-signal-booster-indicator-lights-red-orange-and-green

  • Will this work in a travel trailer while it’s parked?

Yes, it will work fine inside a travel trailer while it is parked as well as while it is moving.

Warning

Note: For any signal booster to help, outside signal strength must be at least -110 dB or there must be a clear line of sight to a cell tower that is within twenty miles. Before ordering, please check outside signal level in decibels or ensure that you can make and hold a phone call at any good spot outside where you can mount an exterior antenna. Square footage stated in signal booster listings is based on good signal outside. If it is any weaker, the boosted sq. ft. area will be considerably lower, accordingly.

Kevin K. of Anderson, California gave the following review:

Website is easy to use with plain straight forward info but could have had more on testing signal strength to make sure you get a strong enough booster.

Therefore, please note that stated sq. ft. coverage is based on good signal outside. For best results: If outside signal is weak, we suggest choosing the next higher sq. ft. coverage kit. If outside signal is very weak, we suggest choosing the kit with even more higher sq. ft. range bracket. Basically, higher the sq. ft. bracket, the more powerful the signal amplifier with greater Gain as well as higher uplink and downlink output power.

If outside signal is too weak (weaker than -110 dB), submit request for cell coverage solution assessment. Upon receipt of questionnaire, we will perform residential or business site survey. This will help us determine the system that is needed to improve cell coverage. Then, we will create system design using that system such as femtocell, active or hybrid distributed antenna system (DAS), or other carrier feed signal enhancing method available that will work at your signal-challenged location. Finally, we will schedule for installation after equipment and installation service quote has been approved by you, or your company.

For non installation-included kits: Most home / office / building cell signal booster kits only include bracket to mount exterior antenna on outside wall, edge of roof, or existing pipe up to 2 inches in diameter. Mounting pole not included with most kits, unless stated specifically that it is included for free. Therefore, a mounting post must be purchased separately if you will require it to mount exterior antenna.
