Wisconsin ERRC Public Safety DAS / Signal Booster Installer

Wisconsin ERRC (Emergency Responder Radio Coverage) Public Safety DAS / Signal Booster Installation Service is guaranteed by SignalBooster.com, an ERRC System Specialist. Many Wisconsin jurisdictions now require NFP or IFC-compliant public safety radio coverage as a prerequisite for getting an occupancy permit. However, Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System (ERRCS) or public safety signal booster and distributed antenna system (DAS) requirements vary from region to region nationwide across United States.

The Governor appointed Interoperability Committee (IC) controls the guidelines and regulations for Emergency Radio Response in Wisconsin. This includes ERRC systems as well as the EMS Communications for the state. ERRC systems for Wisconsin must allow for the 10 MED Pair Channels to have dedicated communications among ambulances, hospitals and personnel.

Wisconsin is under the Project 25 standard for design on the wireless communications. The P25 system replaces any outdated or older systems. Those with existing ERRC systems should ensure that their wireless network amplification system is up to date with current regulations.

Public safety DAS or signal booster installation in Wisconsin available, if required.

ERRC systems for Wisconsin should include:

  • Mutual Aid Radio Channels (1-4).
  • VTAC and/or VCALL capabilities for VHF radio channels.
  • UHF between 300 and 3000 MHz.
  • VHF between 30 and 3000 MHz.
  • Adhere to DHS 11.04, DHS 110.34, DHS 110,44, and TRANS 309.18 laws concerning system standards.

ERRC systems must be placed in any new construction over 5,000 square feet, or in existing construction where there are more than 300 persons. ERRC systems are required at any facility where public safety is the focus of the building. Existing buildings which could hinder radio frequencies will require an ERRC system. Check with your local government, Fire Marshal, communication compliance office, and/or the FCC for more information.

Wisconsin has requirements for existing buildings to upgrade by adding a public safety DAS or signal booster system if public safety radio signals coverage does not meet required density. Please note that in-building Wisconsin public safety radio coverage requirements can vary greatly based on Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Local AHJ regulations are based on ordinances from several organizations including National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA), First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet), International Building Code (IBC), International Fire Code (IFC) and International Code Council (ICC).

Please contact us for exact requirements based on research within your Wisconsin state's county and city rules and regulations. We can provide the building owner a grid test and design. We can also review the current ERRC system if already installed, and make adjustments if needed. If necessary, we can install a new ERRC system to meet currently required criterias and achieve building certificate of occupancy approval and issuance.

We perform site survey, and ensure public safety bands coverage by doing cellular and public safety grid test. Then, if ERRC grid test shows less coverage than the required threshold, we can install ERRCS (Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System) such as passive or active DAS (Distributed Antenna System) in following Counties of Wisconsin.
