How To Install The Portable In-Car/Truck Cell Phone Signal Booster

View all booster kit components and get step-by-step instructions on how to install the new portable cell phone signal booster. Just like other vehicular cell phone signal boosters, this is a powerful cell phone signal booster for your car, truck, SUV or any other vehicle. It works with any mobile device on any carrier network whether Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon or AT&T. This in-vehicle portable cell phone booster doesn't require an outside antenna! Therefore, this feature makes it portable because you can easily move the signal booster from vehicle to vehicle so you can stay connected wherever you experience poor cell signal.

Installation.

FusionTrek comes with everything you need. The booster, adjustable window mount, adhesive booster base, magnetic cradle antenna, metal plates, and power supply. To install the FusionTrek, first mount the booster in the rear window of your vehicle. The booster can be mounted to the window using the adjustable window mount or to a flat horizontal surface using the adhesive booster base. We recommend using the window mount for trucks, SUVs and hatchbacks, and the booster base for sedans. Whichever method you choose, make sure the booster is installed as close to the window as possible and in a vertical orientation with the SureCall logo facing the front of the vehicle.

Mount the booster using the adjustable window mount.

To mount the booster using the adjustable window mount, first loosen the nut at the top of the booster and insert the ball arm on the window mount into the opening. Place the booster as high and centered as possible on the window and adjust the arms of the booster is in a vertical orientation. Installing the booster at an angle or horizontally will decrease the performance of your booster. When you have found a location, press the suction cup against the window and tighten down the nut, securing the window bracket at the proper angle. Remove the back section of the window bracket from the booster by pressing down on the release and pulling straight out. Clean the selected area on the window with the alcohol pad for the best bond. Remove the clear film from the suction cup, lift up on the lever, then press the suction cup firmly into place on the window. Push down on the lever creating a strong suction to the window. Press the booster back into the window mount until you hear it click into place.

Mount the booster using the booster base.

To mount the booster using the booster base, find a flat horizontal surface in the back window. Place the booster as close to the window as possible and face the logo side of the booster toward the front of the vehicle. Clean the chosen location with the alcohol pad for a strong bond. Remove the backing from the adhesive strip on the bottom of the base and press the booster down firmly onto the window ledge, or use screws in the holes on the side of the base. Make sure the booster is mounted vertically. Installing the booster at an angle or horizontally will decrease the performance of your booster. Now we're ready to move on to the next step.

Placing the cradle antenna.

Place the cradle antenna on any vent using the universal vent clip on the back. If your vents are recessed, making it difficult to mount the cradle antenna, you can also use the cradle antenna in a cup holder or center console. However, you decide to mount it, wrap the cable from the cradle antenna to the booster. We recommend routing the cable under floor mats or beneath the molding for a professional look. The cable is 15 feet in length so you'll have plenty to work with. With the cable run to the booster, connect the two units together by screwing the cable onto the connector on the back of the booster. Next, plug the USB cable into the bottom of the cradle antenna, then into a power port. A light will illuminate on the bottom of the cradle antenna and the back of the booster, letting you know you're powered up and receiving boosted signal. The cradle antenna holds your phone in place using a strong integrated magnet. Just use one of the included adhesive plates to secure any device to the cradle antenna. Remove the film from the adhesive side of the plate and press it firmly onto any phone, case or between your phone and case. The cradle antenna will now hold your device securely as you drive.

That is all there is to installing the portable cell phone signal booster for cars, trucks, RVs, SUVs. Quick and easy!

  • After watching this video, it looks like the only tricky part will be putting in the cradle antenna, but even that appears pretty easy. If I need help I can always call up one of my friends and let them help me. I doubt whether I’ll need to do that. I may just watch the video a second time.

  • I’ve always though that you had to have your phone booster professionally installed. Guess I’m wrong because you can get a booster that includes installation, but watching this video, I think I’ll be able to install one myself. So happy that I took the time to watch this installation video.

  • This video makes it look easy to set everything up. If it’s easy to install, then it’s the best car cell phone booster as far as I’m concerned. I’m so used to plug and play everything that I like to do the bare minimum whether it’s putting in a new Blu-Ray player or a mobile phone signal booster for in the car. As you can guess, I’m a big fan of easy so this video had me early on.

  • The best car cell phone booster for me is one that consistently strengthens the signal to my phone and is easy to install. A portable cell phone signal booster sounds like a big help for anyone who makes calls in their vehicle. By the way, speaking of portable mobile signal boosters, what are the best cell phone boosters for rv owners?

  • I’ve been looking at mobile phone signal boosters for a long time (I do considerable travel and need a strong signal for my car) and this by far looks like the best car cell phone booster. The problem for me is that I didn’t want anything where I had to leave equipment in the car because unfortunately, there are dirtbags always looking to steal gadgets. This portable cell phone signal booster really is portable. I can take it wherever I go, whether I’m in my car or someone else’s. I would think this is the best cell phone booster for a rv too. Good stuff!
