Product Description
Salt/ Fog 3dB Hybrid Coupler 4.3-10 Female 694-2700 (Microlab CA-84KE). Microlab Hybrid Couplers have been designed to meet the special needs of the wireless market. They are most commonly used to combine two wireless carriers in the band to a single antenna feed or distribution cable. This requires the termination of one output port in 50O and results in a 3 dB loss in each signal. In situations where two similar feeds are required, as required for an in-building application, both outputs may be used eliminating the need for a termination and the 3 dB loss. The CA-84K Series is designed for harsh outdoor applications in corrosive salt fog environments. The CA-84KE has 4.3-10 female terminations and has a PIM rating of -161dBc. RoHS Compliant. RoHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. RoHS restricts the use of specific hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products (known as EEE). UPC: 646444281638. SKU: CA84KE.

What is low PIM?
PIM stands for Passive Inter-Modulation. Its unit of measurement is Decibel (dB). In essence, its meaning is, "unwanted signals generated by non-linear mixing of 2 or more frequencies". Therefore, "high PIM" results in weaker cell reception output and a limited bandwidth that supports fewer users. On other hand, "low PIM" means stronger signals with higher bandwidth to support more users simultaneously. For lower PIM, the low PIM hardware connections are designed in a precise manner for achieving near-perfect, seamless connectivity. To minimize PIM further, testing is also required to make sure low PIM hardware is installed tightly or perfectly, as intended. Read more about low PIM antennas and cable connectors.
