Product Description

RV & Truck OTR Antenna | weBoost 311224 by Wilson Electronics / WilsonPro.

The RV Outside Antenna is an omni-directional, wideband antenna. It is designed for use with RVs and in-vehicle boosters. Its versatile, modular design allows it to expand from 9.5 inches to 28.5 inches in height. That height is well above any RV cab's obstructions to optimize performance.

This is a discontinued model of the newer OTR Truck Antenna that can be used for RVs as well. The new OTR antenna at preceding link adjusts 7.5 To 40 inches versus this one that extends from 9.5 to 28.5 inches. A new RV Antenna that is also now available has adjustability from 7.5 inches to 20.5 inches.

With its side-exit adapter and hardware, Drive X RV Outside Antenna fits CB-antenna mounts and RV ladders. Its optional spring base helps protect against high winds and tree branches.

Specs. summary: 50 Ohm impedance. Omni Directional Antenna Function. Spring Mount with Side Exit Adapter. Mast Extension. 25 ft. RG58 Cable with SMA Male to SMA Male Connector.

This Drive X RV Outside Antenna comes equipped with a 25 feet length of RG6 cable to easily reach inside even the largest-sized RVs to wherever the booster is installed.

Features:

  • Equipped with a 25 ft. length of RG-6 cable to the Outside Antenna.
  • Versatile, modular antenna design with a 9.5 inches to 28.5 inches height range.
  • Additional hardware includes side-exit adapter and spring base.
  • Allows for optimal placement within even the largest-sized RVs.
  • Elevates Outside Antenna above any RV cab to optimize performance.
  • Offers more mounting options and added durability in high wind.

Questions & Answers

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Can you tell me if the mount on the 311230 can rotate 90 degrees, with modifying the bracket, so it can mount on a horizontal tube? I know that the discontinued antenna PN 311224 mounts on a horizontal tube rather than vertically like the 311230. But need to know if I can somehow mount antenna PN 311230 on a horizontal tube.

Unfortunately that mount cannot be modified. However, the threading on the base of the antenna is compatible to any standard CB mount. If you happen to find a mount that meets your needs, it will work with antenna.

  • Is this antenna compatible with other weboost products?

Yes, it is compatible with many weBoost vehicle kits that require SMA Female connector to fit. However, if you need it for weBoost Drive Reach series amplifiers, you will also need a SMA-Male to SMB-Female connector to make it fit.

  • I am needing a rv antenna for my fusion2go Max. will this work with that unit?

Sorry, Fusion2Go Max does not support any other exterior antenna than the one that comes with the F2G MAX kit. The reason is that its outside aerodynamic antenna uses unique built-in technology that boosts signals right after capturing them which other antennas will not do.

  • What does it plug into?

The cable connected to this antenna plugs into the cell signal amplifier main base box within the complete weBoost RV cell phone signal booster kit.

Warning

Note: For any signal booster to help, outside signal strength must be at least -110 dB or there must be a clear line of sight to a cell tower that is within twenty miles. Before ordering, please check outside signal level in decibels or ensure that you can make and hold a phone call at any good spot outside where you can mount an exterior antenna. Square footage stated in signal booster listings is based on good signal outside. If it is any weaker, the boosted sq. ft. area will be considerably lower, accordingly.

Kevin K. of Anderson, California gave the following review:

Website is easy to use with plain straight forward info but could have had more on testing signal strength to make sure you get a strong enough booster.

Therefore, please note that stated sq. ft. coverage is based on good signal outside. For best results: If outside signal is weak, we suggest choosing the next higher sq. ft. coverage kit. If outside signal is very weak, we suggest choosing the kit with even more higher sq. ft. range bracket. Basically, higher the sq. ft. bracket, the more powerful the signal amplifier with greater Gain as well as higher uplink and downlink output power.

If outside signal is too weak (weaker than -110 dB), submit request for cell coverage solution assessment. Upon receipt of questionnaire, we will perform residential or business site survey. This will help us determine the system that is needed to improve cell coverage. Then, we will create system design using that system such as femtocell, active or hybrid distributed antenna system (DAS), or other carrier feed signal enhancing method available that will work at your signal-challenged location. Finally, we will schedule for installation after equipment and installation service quote has been approved by you, or your company.

For non installation-included kits: Most home / office / building cell signal booster kits only include bracket to mount exterior antenna on outside wall, edge of roof, or existing pipe up to 2 inches in diameter. Mounting pole not included with most kits, unless stated specifically that it is included for free. Therefore, a mounting post must be purchased separately if you will require it to mount exterior antenna.
