Cell Phone Signal Booster Installation Service Case Study

Successful Installation of Telco Booster System Ends KFORCE Weak Cellular Reception Problems in Their Connecticut Office.

Location Details.

After realizing a weak cell phone signal in their busy 3 Corporate Drive Suite 214, Shelton, CT 06484 Connecticut office was affecting their business, KForce.com had a cell phone signal booster system installed ending their weak cellular signal reception problem. The system was installed through SignalBooster.com's cell phone signal booster installation service.

Major Concern.

Employees weren't getting a quality cellular signal inside their offices.

Solution.

Jason Velez, the Systems Engineer at KForce.com contacted SignalBooster.com to resolve the problem at their office. Due to the size of the office space, the weak signal readings on the signal meter both on the roof and inside the office space, a SureCall cell phone signal booster system was selected.

Prior to the Telco booster installation, Signalbooster.com technicians did a detailed survey of the premises by taking signal readings on the roof and inside the office space to help them choose the perfect amplifier. The survey also included establishing the length of the cable required and the different areas the cable had to snake and spiral through. The best cable routes and equipment placement areas for a new cell booster system were also identified.

Installation.

The new signal amplifier was installed on IT wall and incoming roof signal at the signal amplifier was read. As the cables were connected to signal amplifier, 10dB attenuation was added. Installation of interior dome antenna and adjustment of the signal output at the amplifier were concluded with signal readings at the dome showing strong cell phone signals.

In total, 16 feet cable was used between floors, 48 feet in total. 30 feet cable was used between electrical room chase and the Telco room on the 5th floor. Another 110 feet cable ran through the 2nd floor Telco closet to KFORCE office space. Additional 30 feet cable went to the IT wall. Approximately 300 feet of cable was spent for stability and safety of the installation.

A tripod was also installed on the roof as well as cinder blocks that were fastened on the tripod for stability. The indoor signal broadcast ceiling antenna was fastened on the tripod.

Results.

Once the technicians were sure of the improved cell phone signal, they called the employees to verify whether there was a change in their cellular connectivity. All KFORCE employees performed quick test calls and web browsing and confirmed the signal has improved to full bars.

Previous low cell phone signal problems were completely forgotten. Before the Signalbooster.com technicians left, they verified with Jason, KFORCE Systems Engineer and confirmed he was satisfied with the installation.

Employees are no longer going through dropped calls and low internet browsing speeds.

  • Like a friend of mine always says “these people did it right.” I’m referring to the site survey, something that you should always do when you’re getting ready to install a cell phone booster. I would argue you do it whether you’re putting one in a home or a business office. Some people may disagree but I think it helps you get the most out of your booster.

  • It’s difficult to comment on something you haven’t experienced yourself, but the story here shows the magic you can work when you have a cell signal booster professionally installed. When you have a large area like this you don’t want to leave anything to guess work so get a professional to do the install as well as the survey and post-install work. Otherwise you might as well take your money and put it into a shredder.

  • “I feel like a jabroni asking this, but how do I boost my cell phone signal at home?” there’s no reason to feel like a jabroni Jim. The answer is similar to what you do when you need to strengthen your cell phone signal in an office or factory—you install a cell phone booster. The difference as you probably can imagine, is the home device is smaller and covers a smaller range (which is good because you don’t want to pay for more than you need and you don’t put a commercial booster in your home unless you have your own zip code). The nice thing with a home cell phone booster is you can install it yourself and it’s easy to do (from what I’ve heard). Hope this helps answer your question.

  • I feel like a jabroni asking this, but how do I boost my cell phone signal at home? I see these ones for businesses, but what can be done at home?

  • Zowie! What a mess. Good thing businesses can go on the ol’ Google machine and type in “find the nearest cell phone signal booster installers near me.” From what I understand, commercial cell phone boosters require more than ones at home so it’s wise to use a cell phone booster installation service. There are many different cell phone repeater installers as there are cell phone boosters—Wilson cel phone boosters and 4g cell boosters in general. If you have an office as messy as this one, you owe it to yourself to go with a pro and look for the right device for your office. Word has it cell phone boosters are fantastic, but you’ll want to get the right one.

  • It’s good to know there are such things as a cell phone booster installation service, because I don’t know if a business would be wise to let anyone but cell phone repeater installers do the job. Cell phone boosters like easy enough for home installation, but I’d prefer to have a professional do the work. That way everything works out well and your office has the same results as this one did.

  • I’ve heard about cell phone boosters and how they can be used in homes and businesses. I was wondering how to find a cell phone booster installer near me, because I’m not sure if I want to do this on my own. It was good to read this “case study” of a business’ experience with both a cell phone booster and an installer. This was good because not only did it help me to find a cell phone booster installation service, but it helped me see how the installation works and how it can help your business.
