I purchased the 4G M- OTR model 470121 because my family and I own property in Leadville Co. and at that altitude, cell service is touch and go (on a good day). Needless to say, my husband had gotten a puppy, and as it was so quiet in the back, I had assumed the little beast was asleep. In actuality, it was chewing the cords to the exterior antenna, and power supply. I have gone out and got repair kits with the attachment mechanisms. I can usually rewire basic electronics, but I'm failing epically. Plus the little monster didn’t just chew them in half, she chewed them all in 4 inch pieces all the way down the entire cord. I was wondering if there’s a warranty, or how much for a new adapter, cord for internal antenna, and a cord for the outer antenna? Or if you have a retailer somewhere in SW Louisiana? I’m here for the winter. We travel a lot, with kids, which is why it is kind of important to me. Thanks in advance. Sara

Does the big part or top part of antanna have to be over cab for best service?
Higher the antenna, better the service. Therefore, you can try to install it as high as possible. This is becase when antenna is higher, it has more clear path to nearest cell tower with fewer obstructions around the truck such as houses, etc. For most practical purposes, as long as the thicker part at the top of antenna is over the cab providing 360 degrees clearance to it, that would suffice for good reception.

Note: For any signal booster to help, outside signal strength must be at least -110 dB or there must be a clear line of sight to a cell tower that is within twenty miles. Please check outside signal level in decibels before ordering. Square footage stated in signal booster listings is based on good signal outside. If it is any weaker, the boosted sq. ft. area will be considerably lower, accordingly.
If it is too weak, submit request for cell coverage solution assessment. Upon receipt of questionnaire, we will perform residential or business site survey. This will help us determine the system that is needed to improve cell coverage. Then, we will create system design using that system such as femtocell, active or hybrid distributed antenna system (DAS), or other carrier feed signal enhancing method available that will work at your signal-challenged location. Finally, we will schedule for installation after equipment and installation service quote has been approved by you, or your company.
Please note: Most home / office / building cell signal booster kits only include bracket to mount exterior antenna on outside wall, edge of roof, or existing pipe up to 2 inches in diameter. Mounting pole not included with most kits, unless stated specifically that it is included for free. Therefore, a mounting post must be purchased separately if you will require it to mount exterior antenna.
