Product Description
SignalBooster.com home and office good, better and best cell phone signal booster kits work for all USA & Canada cellular service carriers simultaneously. They work for multiple mobile devices at the same time. They solve weak cellular reception problem in homes and offices in buildings of various different sizes:
- The "good" signal amplifier with gain level of +60 dB maximum targets homes and offices of small size up to 4,000 sq. ft.
- The "better" signal amplifier with gain level of +65 dB maximum targets homes and offices of medium size up to 10,000 sq. ft.
- The "best" signal amplifier with gain level of +70 dB maximum targets homes and offices of large size up to 15,000 sq. ft.
Important: Coverage space will vary based on outside signal strength.
Please note that the mobile coverage square footage stated for each level is based on an assumption that there's strong signal outside the house / office building.
That is usually the case because building materials are the main culprit of indoor cellular dead zones.
However, if you're in a remote rural or mountainous area or due to unusual circumstances, you may have weak signal even outside your building or housing structure.
It is very important to know before buying this kit (or any signal booster kit) that indoor coverage area will solely depend upon the strength of cellular signal outside in an optimal spot where you can place your exterior antenna.
In instances when outside signal is not strong, here's our recommendation:
- For example, if you need to cover 4,000 sq. ft. but outside signal strength is medium (~ 3 to 4 bars or approx. -90 dBm), you must select at least the next more powerful kit (Better Signal Booster - offering +65dB Max. Gain) to cover at least 3,000 sq. ft. of your 4,000 sq. ft. area.
- If signal is very weak outside (~ 1 to 2 bars or approx. -110 dBm), you must select the most powerful kit (Best Signal Booster - offering +70dB Max. Gain) to cover at least 1,000 sq. ft. of your 4,000 sq. ft. area.
Please be assured that in most instances, you won't need to buy a cell phone booster kit to cover your entire home or office because dead spots may exist only in certain areas. Therefore, you can simply place your interior antenna closer to those high cellular usage areas that have no reception or very weak reception.
Will it work with my Carrier?
These hibooster cellular amplifiers for all USA and Canadian carriers work with all North American mobile service providers. They work with all United states wireless carriers including Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T Wireless. They also work with all Canadian wireless providers including Rogers Wireless, Freedom Mobile, Telus Mobility and Bell Mobility.
They boast high gain improvement. Basically, they extend all types of cellular frequency coverage to places where signal gets weak due to building materials as well as topography (hills, valleys) and distance from the cell tower. Stronger wireless signal enables clearer conversations when talking on phone, and faster internet speeds in smartphones, tablet, computers, etc.
How do they work?
These home & office cell phone boosters take strong or weak outside signal from exterior donor antenna placed on the roof or wall of building structure, and amplify it many times to provide strongest signal possible inside through interior broadcast antenna. As stated above, please note that the square foot coverage area inside will largely depend on the strength of signal obtained from optimal outside antenna location.
The following estimates show approx. inside boosted space in square feet for the "Good" signal amplifier with maximum Gain level of +60dB, based on power of signal strength outside.
"Good" Signal Amplifier with +60dB Gain Max. for up to 4K sq. ft.:

The following estimates show approx. inside boosted space in square feet for the "Best" signal amplifier with maximum Gain level of +70dB, based on power of outside signal.
"Best" Signal Amplifier with +70dB Gain Max. for up to 15K sq. ft.:
- 15,000 sq. ft. with full 5 bars (-40 to -70 dBm) outside.
- 10,000 sq. ft. with approx. 4 to 5 bars (-70 to -80 dBm) outside.
- 5,000 sq. ft. with approx. 3 to 4 bars (-85 to -95 dBm) outside.
- 3,000 sq. ft. with approx. 2 to 3 bars (-95 to -105 dBm) outside.
- 1,000 sq. ft. with approx. 1 to 2 bars (-105 to -115 dBm) outside.
- Most likely no signal to boost if you have no bars (-120 dBm), so this kit will not work for you.
How do you measure signal strength accurately?
We wish signal bars were more accurate because they are visually very easy to read and understand. Unfortunately, signal bars are not the most accurate way of measuring signal strength. They do not even update in realtime. That is why you may have noticed a few bars at times but could not make a call. Or you may have seen no bars and yet you could make a call and talk on your phone just fine.
In addition to not updating in realtime, they are also very inaccurate many times due to inherent flaws depending on installed phone software (usually not designed by manufacturer) and how it relates to the hardware (made by manufacturer). Anyway, here's how you can check the strength of outside signal accurately in decibels, a unit of cellular signal measurement.
In summary, weaker the signal outside, the more powerful "Gain" signal booster we would recommend you to buy. The link above shows you how to check signal strength outside, around your house, or preferably on the roof - accurately. The roof usually has best reception because it has fewest obstacles in line to the nearest cell tower. Checking signal strength is easy. It entails simply putting your phone in "test mode" and reading those numbers in Decibel Milliwatts (dBm).

Note: For any signal booster to help, outside signal strength must be at least -110 dB or there must be a clear line of sight to a cell tower that is within twenty miles. Before ordering, please check outside signal level in decibels or ensure that you can make and hold a phone call at any good spot outside where you can mount an exterior antenna. Square footage stated in signal booster listings is based on good signal outside. If it is any weaker, the boosted sq. ft. area will be considerably lower, accordingly.
Kevin K. of Anderson, California gave the following review:
Website is easy to use with plain straight forward info but could have had more on testing signal strength to make sure you get a strong enough booster.
Therefore, please note that stated sq. ft. coverage is based on good signal outside. For best results: If outside signal is weak, we suggest choosing the next higher sq. ft. coverage kit. If outside signal is very weak, we suggest choosing the kit with even more higher sq. ft. range bracket. Basically, higher the sq. ft. bracket, the more powerful the signal amplifier with greater Gain as well as higher uplink and downlink output power.
If outside signal is too weak (weaker than -110 dB), submit request for cell coverage solution assessment. Upon receipt of questionnaire, we will perform residential or business site survey. This will help us determine the system that is needed to improve cell coverage. Then, we will create system design using that system such as femtocell, active or hybrid distributed antenna system (DAS), or other carrier feed signal enhancing method available that will work at your signal-challenged location. Finally, we will schedule for installation after equipment and installation service quote has been approved by you, or your company.
For non installation-included kits: Most home / office / building cell signal booster kits only include bracket to mount exterior antenna on outside wall, edge of roof, or existing pipe up to 2 inches in diameter. Mounting pole not included with most kits, unless stated specifically that it is included for free. Therefore, a mounting post must be purchased separately if you will require it to mount exterior antenna.
