Product Description

Ultra-Directional Antenna (Cell & WiFi 600 to 6500 MHZ, +14 to +26dB Gain)

Longest Range Most Powerful Antenna for Wi-Fi 2.4, 5 GHz and Cellular / Mobile 3G, 4G, LTE, 5G networks including band 71. It has a Parabolic Grid with unidirectional horn to provide laser-like focus which reaches out farthest to catch signals. However, it must be focused precisely to point to the targeted cell tower preferably by using instruments such as a signal meter.

It covers the widest range frequency bands from 600 MHz to 6500 MHZ or 6.5 GHz. Better than 24dBi parabolic grid antennas, it provides 14 to 26 dBi Gain depending on frequency band whether Cellular 800MHz, PCS 1900MHz and AWS from 1710 to 1755 MHz uplink, and from 2110 to 2155 MHz downlink or Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and 5GHz. 5G Band 71 compatible that includes 5G T-Mobile Band 71 Sub-6 Frequency. Due to its vast frequency range and extreme directional reach, this is the best and most powerful Wi-Fi 2.4, 5 GHz and Cellular 3G, 4G, LTE, 5G over the air (OTR) super antenna for 2020.

This Over The Air (OTA) antenna can be used as the main or auxiliary antenna for any cellphone signal booster system or in Distributed Antenna System (DAS) for catching max. external signal to send into any building for cellular and wifi amplification systems. Premium quality most powerful up to +26 dB Gain wide band outdoor directional antenna with parabolic metal reflector grid puts together the power of directional antenna and ability of metallic grid reflector to capture max possible signal from any one direction with laser focus. It operates on 50 Ohm impedance. It can be mounted on top of any house or building on roof outside to improve access to wifi or cell phone tower signals for boosters and amplifiers installed inside.

This can serve as an exterior wifi and cell phone signal booster antenna, and can replace outside antenna in a distributed antenna system (DAS). It transmits powerfully in one direction in a very small and narrow seven degrees conical range so it must be aimed accurately to point to target signal origin for it to work for you. It is designed for using outdoors with any wifi 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz or 50 Ohm 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G and 5GE cellular signal amplifier or repeater.

Compatible with most 50 Ohm cell phone repeaters and boosters, including Uniden, Hiboost, SureCall and Wilson Electronics or weBoost. This unidirectional parabolic antenna will work for all international mobile frequency bands for 3G, 4G, LTE data and voice with any carrier including AT&T, Telus Mobility, T-Mobile USA, Bell Canada, Verizon Wireless, Rogers, Sprint, Freedom Mobile, and many more. This is like a cell dish antenna, except that it has a metal grid instead of a metal dish. A metallic grid is better than a metallic dish because it will stay put in stormy weather with best wind resistance since wind can blow right through it.

In most instances, this unidirectional Yagi-antenna is used as an on-building roof antenna to improve access to broadband wireless wifi or mobile tower signals for signal amplifiers and boosters that have been installed inside. The wide frequency range also makes it ideal for use at 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz for Wireless Video applications and WiFi.

Parabolic Antenna Grid Metal Reflector.

It features a die-cast aluminum reflector grid that is corrosion resistant and mounted on the rear of the antenna. The grid improves the Gain, Front to Back Ratio and Return Loss. This grid bolt-on high gain horn antenna is completely water proof or weather proof. It can be mounted or bolted-on any antenna pole (not included, see options below) with the hardware included. The short cable attached terminates in a N Female connector which is typically used with 50 Ohm low loss coaxial cable such as Wilson400, LMR400, SureCall400, etc.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • What is the correct orientation of the feed for Vertical Polarization?

See all the pictures in the listing. They have the feed horn vertical polarized. Thank you.

  • Are you saying that when you have 1 or 2 antennas it is best to have them at a slant like that? Because we have 1 right now up and we didn't slant it that way. I will have a pro installer come so I am gathering as much info as possible.

Correct, when you have one antenna, you keep horn vertical. When you have two, that is when you slant them that way as detailed in answer to your previous question.

  • What is MIMO? Can you please explain how to double upload speed using the MIMO? I'm capped at 25 up/down which is fine but I need to get better upload speed though than showing now with this antenna.

MIMO stands for Multiple Input, Multiple Output. MIMO is a method for multiplying the capacity of a radio link using multiple transmission and receiving antennas to exploit multipath propagation. For it to work, your modem or router must have two antenna ports for MiMo operation. This way you can buy another grid antenna, and route its cable to the second port on modem for higher thoroughput.

After buying a second antenna, slant one left 45 degrees and the other one slant right by 45 degrees. Simply put, the grid and feed horn have to be slanted 45 degrees left or right in reference to horizon and 90 degrees apart from each other. Point them both at the same cell site tower or transmission source. One can be higher than the other on the same pole. They can be next to each other too, but that requires more pole work (see image below as example):

  • The cell tower is 9.8 miles away from our remote cabin. We can see the mountain from our place that the tower is on. Would your Ultra Wide Band Long Range Ultra-Gain 26dB Directional Yagi antenna bring it in? From our cabin if we go up in elevation 100 feet and 1000 feet horizontal distance we get -115. Outside the cabin we may get a ping in a certain area but nothing steady. Any suggestions?

Yes, this antenna may get the job done but in conjunction with a high Gain 100 dB signal booster kit.

  • I live on an island in Hawaii and get my cell service from another island across the ocean 30 miles away. I get 1 or sometimes 2 bars of Verizon or T-mobile service on my phone. I used a Netgear 4g router for my internet and get 1-2 bars with the 3db gain Netgear mimo antennae. I get anywhere from 200kbps to 5mbps at best. Average is 1 mbps. I have tried 2 different 11dbi gain mimo antennae with short heavy gauge cord but get no better signal than the small Netgear antennae. The larger antennae has worse signal than the larger one. I mounted it on a 5ft pole on my roof with almost a direct line of view to the tower. There are a couple small tree branches in the way but the smaller unit works fine going through the trees. Question is what are you best antennae for my situation? Do you have a unit that will pickup a better signal from a tower so far away? Is a few tree branches in the way a problem or does it need to be nothing in the way? I was looking at the long range parabolic metal antennae you have. Would this work or will a cheaper one work? I am just looking to get 1 bar more service and 1-2 mbps better speed. Thanks.

Yes, this referenced antenna offering up to 26 dB Gain would be your best bet. Yes, better to have nothing along the line of sight so we suggest you use a higher 25 ft. pole we carry for this purpose. It should definitely give you the boost you need. This is an ultra directional antenna so we cannot stress enough how important to point it precisely to cell tower without any deviation. A signal meter may also help to achieve that precision. We offer full refund of its cost if not fully satisfied and returned within 60 days, so there's not much risk in trying it:)

  • My house is in rural upstate NY. While the nearest tower - Verizon, is only 1.3 miles, there are multiple hills with trees and the antenna patterns on the tower do not point in my direction. I'm considering both Yagi 14db and parabolic 26db antennas. Which is best for my application? How to I optimize their reception of the cell propagation pattern is approx. 60 degrees off axis from the tower based on my house and antenna position.

26dB Gain antenna would be more powerful so it is recommended for your situation.

It is best to use a signal meter or spectrum analyzer, so you can connect the Parabolic or Yagi on either one of those devices to slowly sweep the antenna until you see strongest signal.

We recommend pointing the antenna towards the strongest signal regardless of where the tower is.

You can use the link below as a reference to find the strongest signal without signal meter/analyzer:

    https://www.signalbooster.com/pages/field-test-mode

If you have an Android you can use OpenSignal or LTE Discovery to test the dBm's.

  • Two questions: 1. Can 2 of these be used in a mimo configuration for being hooked up to a cellular router, and 2. How well do they operate in non line of sight settings, such as through trees (I understand the second question may be difficult to say, but is there any general guidance)?

Yes for MiMo, you can set them up with polarization 90 degrees apart. Each can be 45 degrees apart from ground. The signal propagation questions are difficult to answer although the stated gain is there, because there're ~100 variables in standard use. For example, if you have trees that go 25 feet above your roofline, it is not possible to get what is called LOS (line of sight). If your cell tower is miles away with thick trees along entire way, this is not going to work or cut across all that. The trick is to mount antenna as high as possible to clear all dense portions of the trees - a little superficial foliage is ok for the most part. As stated before, this is just a guesstimate - a lot of variables are at play such as elevation, closeness of cell tower, varies greatly by the frequency you will be using, the length and type of cables you will use, the cellular, LTE, or wifi modem or signal amplifier you will be using, etc.

  • We want a kit that would give proper signal on our LAND *** IMPORTANT *** NOT INSIDE a building or inside a house, on OUR LAND, at a specific place. SO… The outdoor antenna is FINE. A Yagi style or whatever works at a neighbour a kilometer away so the outdoor antenna is fine. On the "Indoor" input of the signal booster, we would like to put the most powerful antenna *BUT* THE ANTENNA WILL BE OUTSIDE…. It will be outside because we want to have signal on the LAND, not inside a building or house. So I ask, would a Yagi style antenna similar to what is used on the OUTDOOR PORT would work but on the INDOOR port. Since it is about 500 ft. away from the building and it’s a very specific location, would it work or it is unclear what I want to do? Again, it is to have signal on a LAND at a very specific location so the "indoor port" would have an antenna but it is gonna be used outside.

Cell phone signal boosters are designed for providing better cellular coverage inside housing structures.

If both outside port and inside port antennas are outside, there will be no antenna separation that is required between them and there will be oscillation or feedback between them causing the signal booster to power down its signal enhancing capability.

There needs to be barriers put between both antennas for any cell signal booster with interior and exterior antenna ports, to work.

Warning

Note: For any signal booster to help, outside signal strength must be at least -110 dB or there must be a clear line of sight to a cell tower that is within twenty miles. Before ordering, please check outside signal level in decibels or ensure that you can make and hold a phone call at any good spot outside where you can mount an exterior antenna. Square footage stated in signal booster listings is based on good signal outside. If it is any weaker, the boosted sq. ft. area will be considerably lower, accordingly.

Kevin K. of Anderson, California gave the following review:

Website is easy to use with plain straight forward info but could have had more on testing signal strength to make sure you get a strong enough booster.

Therefore, please note that stated sq. ft. coverage is based on good signal outside. For best results: If outside signal is weak, we suggest choosing the next higher sq. ft. coverage kit. If outside signal is very weak, we suggest choosing the kit with even more higher sq. ft. range bracket. Basically, higher the sq. ft. bracket, the more powerful the signal amplifier with greater Gain as well as higher uplink and downlink output power.

If outside signal is too weak (weaker than -110 dB), submit request for cell coverage solution assessment. Upon receipt of questionnaire, we will perform residential or business site survey. This will help us determine the system that is needed to improve cell coverage. Then, we will create system design using that system such as femtocell, active or hybrid distributed antenna system (DAS), or other carrier feed signal enhancing method available that will work at your signal-challenged location. Finally, we will schedule for installation after equipment and installation service quote has been approved by you, or your company.

For non installation-included kits: Most home / office / building cell signal booster kits only include bracket to mount exterior antenna on outside wall, edge of roof, or existing pipe up to 2 inches in diameter. Mounting pole not included with most kits, unless stated specifically that it is included for free. Therefore, a mounting post must be purchased separately if you will require it to mount exterior antenna.
