Understanding How Signal Boosters in Buildings Work.
Cell phone signal boosting kits are made up of three parts: an external antenna, signal amplifier, and internal antenna.
The role of an exterior building antenna is to transmit the signal from your closest cell phone tower into the premises by way of a coaxial cable.

Is there a way to use two exterior antennas with the booster kit since they do different things (Omni antenna signals in all directions and Yagi antenna signals farther away) or do they only work with one or the other? Pretty sure you can only use one but I thought I would ask.
Technically you can use both antennas using an extra cable you can buy and a 75 Ohm combiner you can also buy, but this is not recommended by manufacturer because results would mostly be worse. The reason is that the mixed frequencies cause noise which also gets amplified by amplifier. However, technically, it can be better in rare circumstances when mixed up frequencies do not result in too much noise that inadvertently get amplified (which is rare).
I bought the cheapest one (Flare) with Omni multidirectional outside antenna, and it doesn't work in our area. Could we possibly exchange its antenna for a Yagi unidirectional antenna? I was told it is more powerful - is that true?
Sorry it is not working out for you as expected. Please know that signal bars are not an accurate way to measure signal strength. Please check signal strength after turning on the power to the cell booster kit by putting your phone in field test mode or try making and receiving calls to know for sure whether there has been improvement.
As stated at website under "Warning" tab, for any signal booster to help, outside signal strength must be at least -110 dB or there must be a clear line of sight to a cell tower that is within twenty miles of your home / building.
Therefore, is possible that outside signal strength at your location is too weak to catch and amplify with the kit you bought.
Yes, a Yagi antenna (75 Ohm) can be purchased to switch out with current Omni antenna (75 Ohm) because Yagi's can be pointed to nearest cell tower to focus farther and catch signals from farther away.
Omni antennas are good when signal outside is strong because they can catch signals from all carrier's cell tower locations, in all directions, at the same time. But they cannot pull signals from as far away as Yagi antennas.
It is also very important to install correctly per instructions provided - especially very important to place outside Omni multi-directional antenna at best spot on roof or point Yagi directional antenna precisely to nearest relevant carrier's cell tower. A signal meter may help. This may get your kit working better to provide great reception, all across inside your home.

We have a house in Lake of the Ozarks and have no TV, phone or Internet reception. Zilch. We have Verizon cell plan but no bars and no reception when we are there. Will a booster work for us or do we need some type of reception?
Yes, you do need some signal that signal booster can amplify so please check to confirm this outside (preferably on the roof for best possibility to catch cell signals). I have been told there's no repeater booster that will work on pay as you go phones. Is this true?
That is certainly not true. There's no merit to that wrong info you received. Prepaid and postpaid phones both use network coverage service, just the same. In some cases, Carriers may choose to provide different frequencies & networks to distinguish call and data traffic trends on pre-paid phones, but those are also covered just the same by our cell phone boosters.
The roof to the house has metal at the base. As such a signal booster would require an antenna on top of the roof? Is this correct?
Not necessarily. Antenna can be mounted on outside wall, near soffit at edge of the roof, or even in balcony if you have one. It just needs some signal from outside that it can send via coaxial cable inside to signal amplifier to amplify and broadcast inside. The fact that roof has metal base or is fully made of metal does not interfere with signal boosting system because it uses coaxial cable to bring signal inside.
I’m looking for a cell phone booster for a remote cabin. I can get a decent signal in one area of the house. I ran the Field Test on my iPhone using *3001#12345#* but I'm not sure how to interpret the results. Can you look at the attached screen shots and confirm that I have an adequate signal for one of your products to work?
Per dB signal reading instructions and Looking at RSRP and RSRQ screenshot you sent us by email, where RSRP stands for Reference Signal Received Power with range from -45dbm (good) to -140dbm (bad), "Rsrp0" is the primary cell phone tower connected to your phone. "rsrp1" is the next closest one with the strongest connection. Both show in upper -120's which is not good enough.
RSRQ stands for Reference Signal Received Quality with range from -40dB (bad) to -3dB (good). Those show in upper -30's which is also not good enough considering the signal loss the cabling will incur to bring it inside.
The only bright side is that these readings may be from your room that has best signal - if you would please check whether signal is better on the ROOF, or even OUTSIDE, that would determine whether signal booster will help or not.
If outside LTE readings of RSRP are better (lower number preceded by negative symbol) than -120dB coupled with better signal quality (RSRQ), then you may be in luck and use any of the boosters with Yagi antenna to make sure you get great signal inside the cabin.
Do the boosters you offer work without home internet?

As long as you have some signal outside, you can get better signal inside. Metallic roof has no impact because exterior antenna catches signal from cell tower miles away and then injects it into the building via coaxial cable. The reference says 15 vertical feet distance required between exterior and interior antenna. I can get about 10-11 feet vertical, then it is to its side another 10-12 ft. Do you think that will work, or do I need to wrap the booster in a copper mesh to shield it?
Separation distance between outside and inside antennas is a rough estimate because there're usually varying amounts of obstructions in between.
Therefore, your situation may be feasible but not guaranteed to prevent oscillation.
More the obstructions, the lesser the distance can be without causing oscillation based on the type of materials that are in between, blocking the signals that may cause feedback.

I live in a community with a HOA, anything outside needs approval. I get a pretty good signal in my attic, but not so much in the house. Can the outside antenna be put in the attic instead?
Yes, donor antenna can be placed in attic of Home Owners Association policies prevent you from mounting exterior antenna that is visible from outside. It is definitely doable, but you will need to ensure there's enough separation between it and your interior antenna. Usually this is not a problem because the roof provides a good barrier and therefore much separation distance is not needed. But in your case where you plan to put exterior antenna in attic, you may have to make sure there're enough materials in between both antennas or distance is enough to prevent oscillation or feedback which may cause cell signal booster to work it lower capacity or power down completely if bad enough.
